Double Sided Wideband Concentric Ring Spatial Filters for Mid-Band 5G Devices

Abstract This paper presents the methodology, development, and implementation of double concentric ring band-pass frequency selective surface (FSS) based spatial filters. The filters are designed to improve active responses 5G antennas by incorporating them as superstrate or substrates. A comparable circuit model is used anticipate resonant bands required for predicting FSS behavior. filter composed a combination periodic circular loop structures engraved on both sides thin dielectric substrate. proposed design exhibits characteristics n77, n78, n79 mid-band spectrum (ranging from 3 GHz - 6 GHz) provides insensitivity polarization angles incident plane wave. computed, simulated, measured findings all depicting similar pattern that validates our structure.
